Epic Journeys: Chapter One!

"Aipom... isnt it so pretty in here?" she spoke, flabbergasted at the serene appearance of the Shikako region. The rainforest was simply beautiful, and the trees and scenery were uplifting and she learned to love it. She took a calm step forward, a smile confidently plastered on her face, with Aipom curled up on her head and with her hat on its head.

"C'mon Lyon, I think I see some pokemon!" she cheered happily and Aipom still quivered a little, but was now jumping down and walking next to Buizel - her hat drooping over its small head but Ashley found it cute and let the Aipom keep her hat. She was going to buy it one at a Pokemart later on, maybe.

"Pokemons? Where?! C'mon Buizel lets find you a partner!" He quickly ran to catch up with Ashley. Which kinds of new, mysterious pokémons would they find here? Lyon wanted to catch his first pokémon badly! Well, it wasn't his first, but it would be the first he'd ever capture in a real battle!

Then he saw Aipom with a hat, and laughed, maybe Buizel would like to have his hat too? He decided to try it out and placed his own hat on top of the pokémon's head. He didn't dislike it, and since Aipom was wearing one too, it was this kind of "Pokémon Fashion Style" there. Lyon laughed at his own thoughts and looked around once more.
Where were these pokémons?

A Staryu was swimming in a nearby pond with a Lotad playing together happily they got out of the water and starting walking your way as you saw you two could have separate battles and try to catch both of them it would be perfect since they were both friends.The two pokemon started crossed your path and engaged in a silent moment.

Ashley gasped as her eyes laid on the most adorable pokemon ever; Lotad. She almost squealed in its appearance but then looked at it - she'd need to have a good fight if she really wanted to catch it so she then tapped Aipom on the shoulder. Aipom probably had it out-classed in speed, and that is what she wanted to use Aipom for. Speed and to hit first, and all of the time.

"Quick, lets get in with a Sand Attack!" Aipom quickly spun around, its tail digging into the ground and throwing a wave of sand forward and towards the Lotad, hoping to cloud its eyes and make it unable to dodge future attacks. Aipom kept spinning and throwing sand before Ashley gave another command.

"Twirl and Scratch!" Aipom twirled in all of the sand, making the sand waves moving forward look beautiful in the veil of dust, and while the sand grains and dust were still lingering in the air, Aipom scratched down and formed a make-shift claw out of the sand - all aimed down for Lotad.

"Thats how a coordinator does it."

Watching his friend doing what she was good at, Lyon couldn't help but feel jealous, she was battling and he was there without doing anything! That had to change!
"Is that so? Well I'll show how a trainer does it. Buizel...Show efficiency!"
Buizel knew perfectly what he meant. This was what they were good at, and suddenly both their personalities changed, a lot. Lyon was finally able to use the talent he had for battling and leadershipping, and Buizel was finally able to show his amazing talent for battle, and bravery as well. Although being brave was not a part of his nature, so many years with Lyon turned him into a brave pokémon in combat, and a rather funny curous pokémon outside battle. And "Efficiency" was the word.

Buizel wasn't only brave, it was smart as well, using Aipom's sand atack as cover, he was able to launch a powerful Sonic Boom (for a level 5 pokémon) at Staryu and, again using the sand as cover, getting behind it and use quick atack. All this happened really fast!

When Buizel started to run, Lyon's hat was launched up, and he grabbed it in the middle of the air. placing it on his head he said with confidence:
"And THAT is how a Trainer does it."
Although he seemed cocky, Lyon had a rather honest smile on his face, one could see he was actually enjoying the battle.

The Staryu used hardened to take half of the damage but it was pushed back far then hit again by the Quick attack it barely got up but seeing its friend fight made it stronger and it used tackle then Water Gun spinning causing a Spinning Water Gun tackle which impacted Buizel but Buizel got up and was ready for your commands.

The Lotad used Nature power which formed white strong orbs in its mouth striking Aipom and pushing it back it was able to get up but its Sand attack hit perfectly causing the Lotad to get confused and it hit a tree while it was confused and it almost fainted one more critical impact and it wouldve been ready for the capture it was an amazing Lotad being able to get itself confused and almost fainted.

"Nice job Aipom, now, lets try to spark things up!" she twirled around - ready to give on an appealing battle. She watched Lyon and his battling skills were impressive, but she wasn't going to let that intimidate her, she had to put on the best show that she could.

"Tail Whip!" Aipom hopped around and wagged its tail cutely, making it along with a "Nya~ Nya~ Nya~" at the Lotad for hitting itself, being less Timid then it really was, before Ashley gave another command. "Scratch Acrobatics!" Aipom jumped up on its tail and executed a perfect backflip, turning into a twirl and finally spinning to have its tail ready for impact and nearing the Lotad right there. Due to being in the air for so long, Aipom would have gathered enough kinetic energy to deal a considerable amount of damage.

Lyon saw the Aipom moving again, it was amazingly beautiful, and an amazing acrobatic skill to! It was more than enough to let him surprised, be he was not gonna let the girl siurpass him! Buizel's natural speed allowed the water pokemon to quickly get up after the impact. And while Sataryu was recovering from the recoil, Buizel used another quick atack, and hitting the pokémon or not, Lyon throwed a pokéball at Staryu, it should probably be weakened enough, and Lyon doubted it could avoid Buizel's spped. This was definitly an impressive battle!

Lyon clicked the button of the small ball,a dn suddenly it got bigger. Then, he threw with against Staryu, trying to catch it, was his plan going to work?

Aipoms scratch attack hit and the Lotad was ready for capture meanwhile..............
The pokeball hit the Staryus body sucking its body inside 1.... 2..... 3.... it shaked then the pokeball stopped and Stayu was caught

Ashley watched as her comrade captured a Staryu and then she stepped forward, with a grin on her face as she took out a pokeball and twirled around, and then threw the pokeball forward towards the pokemon after making it larger. "Go pokeball!" she crossed her fingers in anticipation to see if she caught her first pokemon ever.

Lyon watched as his pokeball stopped! Awesome! He got a new pokémon! Staryu! He quickly approached the pokeball and placed it on his pocket, then he looked at Ashley. Buizel still seemed to be able to handle another battle...
"Hey do you need any help?"
He asked, but the question lost its point when Ashley threw her pokeball. Lyon watched as the white and red ball crossed the skies, and hoped that Ashley would be able to catch the pokémon. If not, Buizel would be there to prevent it from running away.

"Nice work Buizel! You were awesome!"
"Buuuizel!"
The pokémon said with a smile.

The pokeball hit Lotads head sucking it inside and it shaked and shaked and finaly stopped.

"Yay! I got myself a Lotad!" she held up the pokeball in the air and then attached it onto her belt with a small grin, and then exchanged glances with her comrade, Lyon. "OK, lets get through this Rainforest and lets try to get some leveling up!"

Lyon nodded at her plan, leveling up seemed a good strategy to beat the next gym leader, and so he stood up, glanced at Buizel, and both started walking on the direction of the forest exit. Sure, he wanted to stay there a while, but his curiosity wanted something cmpletly different, to explore the new city!
Good thing he was able to beat his curiosity, and looking back, he waited for the girl and her pokémon. Now that he had a staryu nothing could beat him!bwahahahhaa! Or maybe he anything could, I'm not sure anymore o.o'

"Lyon. You do realize that the first gym is Grass types, and that you have two water types on you?" she finally noted while they walked forward through the Rainforest, awaiting an encounter to come out. She had Aipom walking next to her, or more like bouncing, while her new Lotad was in its pokeball since it was of a Lax nature and liked resting in its pokeball rather then battling.

She took out a RageCandyBar, and then unwrapped it and quickly took a quick bite out of it, as she was slightly hungry. "Maybe you can punch the gym leader or something... or I'll lend you Aipom. Or teach one of your pokemon an ice move? I don't know." She shrugged and then took another bite.

"Hrm....you're definitly right...My water-type pokémons are not the best choice against the Grass Types...but, I'll find a way around it, I always do! You'll see, I'll show'em that water is the way!"
He said, thumbs up and smilling. The optimistic pokémon trainer was not so optimistic inside, but he knew he'd find a way around it, after all, challenges weren't new in his life right? Besides, buizel's speed would out-class any other pokémon the gym leader may have, and take out the element advantage...Now all he had to do was to raise Buizel's level and he'd be ready to face whatever came across him, or at least he thinks he's ready.

He grabbed the coco buizel offered him and with the help of a small pocketknife he was able to open it, drinking the juice inside...it was horrible.
"Blah! I hate cocos..."
Buizel on the other hand, seemed pretty happy with his own half of the coco.

"Spheal?" a small blue pokemon inquired. "Spheal?" it slowly rolled out of the river where the adventuring pair had stopped briefly. "Shpeal?" it cried out quietly next to the bitter faced trainer. "SPHEAL!" It squeled before tapping it's nose against one of Lyon's empty pokeballs. Shaking subtly the ice pokemon did not resist the capture process.
